E. Lynn Grayson will speak this week at the Comprehensive Trade Agreement and the Modernized NAFTA program hosted by the Chicago Bar Association and the Bar of Montreal. The conference will address the new international regimes which our domestic and global economies will have to navigate and will cover questions concerning investments, trade remedies and customs, government procurement, rules of origin, investor/state dispute resolution, labor standards, immigration, environment, intellectual property, digital trade, gender concerns and Indigenous people.
Ms. Grayson will speak as a member of the opening panel Immigration, Labor Standards and Environmental Trade Issues. Her comments Canada/Mexico/U.S. Cross-Border Environmental Issues will address environmental matters, enforcement under the Commission on Environmental Cooperation, and key environmental considerations at issue in the ongoing negotiations to revise and update NAFTA.
